FREE BEER.

Via NYCMTB.com
"That’s right MTB movie fans- 200 of you were there for our 2008 Seasons movie premiere from this same talented filmmaking crew. Now the veterans of the Collective are back with a new company (Anthill Films) and a new movie (Follow Me!) that promises to deliver the hottest mtb footage of 2010. And we’re doing another premiere, right here in NYC, on Saturday, April 24th, at the EMS flagship store down in SoHo.

Check the teaser for the film:

This isn’t just a movie, it’s a chance to give back to the NYC trails, as all proceeds from the event go to supporting NYCMTB’s nonprofit trailbuilding mission here in NYC. It’s a great movie for a great cause- what could be better?

The only thing that could make it better is GIVEAWAYS, and we sure do have some cool stuff to raffle off. Everyone will receive a raffle entry with their admission donation, and we’ve got swag from movie sponsors as well as a Brooklyn Park frame (in NYCMTB orange), and other big prizes from great local sponsors to throw into the mix. You can purchase additional raffle tickets to increase your odds of winning, too. EMS is extending an in-store discount to movie attendees, too- 25% off EMS branded gear, 20% off other national brands (in-store items only- bikes, boats, racks, you name it).

THIS JUST IN- Jamis Bikes and Liberty’s Bar and Grill (Tappan, NY) have jumped in to provide FREE BEER to all 21+ moviegoers! FREE BEER!

So don’t miss this chance catch a great flick, win some cool swag and support some great trails!

Date- Saturday, April 24th
Time- doors at 7PM, movie at 8:30PM
Place- EMS SoHo, corner of Broadway and Spring Streets"

Hand Brake.

Weird bike news from the fellas at Spoke Magazine:

"When Kevin Myatt dropped his chain powering into Dragons Tail in Whakarewarewa a few days ago he couldn’t in his wildest dreams have imagined how the slam would unfold. After sliding along the ground he realised the bike was still with him and glancing down at his wrist he soon realised why."
