The boys at NYCMTB.com have launched a new website where you can find ride guides, updates on races, and all the chatter about bikes in the city, including tomorrows annual Blessing of the Bikes at St. John the Devine in Morningside heights:

Once riders get their bless on, they're only a few pedals away from the Highbridge trails, where the NYCMB crew will be busy digging trails. Come out, grab a shovel, and help shape up the park for another excellent summer of riding the only legal MTB trails in Manhattan.

The good folks at Endless Trail Bikeworx shipped a pair of Brooklyn Racelinks to Costa Rica for a week of riding with Big Mountain Bike adventures.

"The trip was was filled with tight, super steep,fast, flowy trails with descents lasting up two hours. Our Racelinks ate it up with no problem as always! Everyone was amazed by the bikes, no one had ever scene one up close. Everyone we let try out the rigs were very impressed with the performance and handling of the bike."

Of last month's SR orders, the most interesting destination was to Slovenia, where our friend Boris is decking out his SR with an Avalanche Chubie and new BOS N'Dee singlecrown fork.

We admittedly don't know much about the riding over there in Slovenia, but they have seaside towns like these, and with the NE weather being so tempermental as of late, we're springing for a plane ticket instead of a UPS label next time around.

Indy Weekend update.

The shop was all over the country this weekend with Joe, Darren, and Ken, and Maya visiting the NAHBS in Indiana and hitting up RAYS along the way.

Pics and ride report are coming, but since NYC got a nice dumping of snow, we'll turn our attention to Toff riding in England (and BKLN), where the ride conditions are actually better right now...

400 vs. 1

Last weekend the good folks in Minneapolis continued the tradition of the Stuporbowl, one of the longest-running alleycats in North America...in the middle of a Minnesota winter. This year hundreds of racers gathered in the twin cities and Brooklyn Machine Works rider Austin Horse was there to represent NYC.

23 checkpoints and a few RedBulls later, he pulled it in for the Big Apple on his trusty Gangsta Track.A full race report is up on the Bike Jerks blog, detailing insane checkpoints including a sledding hill, Cars-R-Coffins, and "2 dudes fishing".

Big thanks to Jeff Frane (the brains behind Bike Jerks and All-City) for all his hard work and giving Austin a run for his money, and everyone else who worked so hard to pull off another incredible Stuporbowl.
